Russian govt spends almost 100 million rubles on pro-Putin concerts  

95.3 million rubles (€1.3-1.4 million) is the amount of state money spent on the Za Rossiju concert tour. This has become the most expensive government contract ever signed in Russia to pay for a set of concerts, reports BBC Russia.

The highest earning artist was Sergey Galanin and his SerGa band, receiving 10.5 million (€150,000), followed by Victoria Dayneko and the Uma2rman band who earned 4 million for a single performance.

The lowest wage, 84,000 rubles (€1200), was paid to Ivan Kupriyanov, a poet. Another poet, Anna Revyakina from Donetsk, was paid 2.3 million.

The tour was held in numerous Russian cities, including Izhevsk, Lipetsk, and Kemerovo. The attendants were allowed to visit the concerts free of charge.
