Governor of Russia’s Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov informed of a fire at a Russian military facility in the region on his Telegram channel. There were reports of explosions in the area on social media and in several media outlets, including NTV channel.
“There was a fire on the border between three municipalities: Borisovsky and Belgorodsky districts and Yakovlevsky urban district. Information on injured persons and damage is being verified. Emergency services are working on site, following all the necessary security precautions. More details to come,” Gladkov wrote.
Russian news website Podyom published alleged footage of the incident showing smoke rising over the supposed explosion site in the area of the Streletskoye settlement in the Belgorod Region.
On April 19, Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported an attack on the village of Golovchino from the side of Ukraine, adding that three people were injured.
On April 28, it was reported that a 19-year-old Russian conscript Nitika Koshelyov had been killed “in the line of duty” in the Belgorod Region. Officials of Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk Regions regularly report shellings of local settlements.
